The recent series Christmas events at Greenford Baptist Church were a huge sucess. The Candlelight Carols Service was the best attended in living memory and this year had the addition of coloured stage lights and multimedia. Our New Year's Eve Celebration - only in it's second year - was a vibrant all-age mixture of praise and worship, prayer and dancing in a party athmosphere. At several points during the evening we watched short multimedia clips showing the life of Greenford Baptist Church during 2007 - with some very funny moments. Some of these video clips are already starting to appear in the 2007 section our Internet TV station GBC WEB TV. New Year's Eve christian celebrations like this appear to be not too well advertised in the Northamptonshire area. One lady who lives there was looking for a suitable way for a Christian to have fun on New Year's Eve and drove all the way down to us just for the night. "Hi Pastor Wise, I would just like to say a very big thank you to you and the church for such a wonderful New Year's Celebration. I wanted to see in the New Year with my Christian family in an attitude of prayer, praise and worship and after doing an online search I came across your website. It took a little over an hour to get to Greenford Baptist, not that long, and it was worth it! It was lovely to meet some wonderful people ~ Richard and Sharon made me feel very welcome. The street dancing youths were quite impressive and the sweet singing of the Sunday School children was lovely. Thanks! Also, if you have any special events on at the church, I would love to come. May I take this opportunity to wish you and your family a truly wonderful New Year, Your sister in Christ ...I feel quite honoured! It truly was a blessing to be amongst you all and such a shame that I don't live nearer!"
