When I give you the time
It all makes sense
When I give you the space
It all becomes clear
When I give you my heart
It all falls into place
When I give you what you ask
It fills me with joy.
And then I wonder
Why do I hold back?
Why do I take so long?
Why do I back off?
Why do I walk away?
When I put you first
It all seems obvious
When I stop doing and start being
It liberates my heart
When I tell you my story
It lifts the clouds
When I hear your voice
It shakes and inspires.
And then I wonder
What more will it take?
When will I ever learn?
Why don't you give up?
Why me?
When I ask you these things
When I doubt and debate
When I don't understand
Then you say it....
"I know...I know...I know."
