Like a warm wave of water
Washing over me,
Enfolding me,
Soothing me,
Your love and care are poured out.

How you love us Lord!
You keep us safe and remove our fear
When trouble threatens,
You draw us close.
Nothing can touch us!

Yet how hard to believe it,
How tiny and small and frail we are.
So many want to harm us,
So many raise their hand,
And make me want to hide.

Help me to remember Your promises,
And be strong in You.
You said You'd be with us always,
And never leave us.
How you love us Lord!
