Introduction

The book of Exodus, and the events narrated in it, is probably the most significant part of the OT
Some parts of the story are well known but many Christians do not understand the significance of the events for themselves today

Darkness (10:21-29)

The main Egyptian god was the god of the sun, so this was a direct challenge to the whole Egyptian religious system

The Final Warning (11:1-10)

This time it is God who will enter Egypt Himself
Every person from the highest to the lowest will be affected

The Passover (12:1-28)

God’s people needed to mark themselves out with the blood of a lamb
Spreading the blood was an act of trust and faith in God

Death (12:29-30)

Application

- You cannot ignore God’s Word
- God has provided a way for us to be forgiven and cleansed from the things that we have done wrong
