Barnabas (we never close – except for Bank Holidays) is held weekly at Andy and Lynda Wilson's home. We are doing Barnabas in a user-friendly way these days – we are sharing the week’s news etc and having a “connection” time from 7.45pm to 8.15pm each Monday. People can collect their tea/coffee/water from the kitchen during this time. Then there is about an hour of superb interactive bible study. Lastly there is up to 45 minutes of prayer (if people request something specific) and actual ministry – with the coffee table moved to the other end of the room and people standing up. It was fantastic yesterday as Lekan was leading the Bible study. It was a spirit-filled (almost a preach) and was about our primary purpose for being created – to walk closely and have fellowship with God - as Adam and Eve did in the cool of the evening. Next week we are doing some more on this subject and hopefully it will include a “practical”. Barnabas is a regular and powerful way for people to give and receive ministry, learn God's word and be encouraged, supported and loved.
