Mission StatementTo make God's love known to all in our area through caring and service, expressing our cultural diversity and challenging injustice. MissionTo maintain effective strategies for reaching every person in our area with the Good News that God loves and cares about them. To see people continuously being added to the church family from the conversion of non-Christians, from the re-commitment of Christians whose faith has lapsed and also from Christians who move into the area. To have an ongoing commitment to and resourcing of overseas mission. To have a high positive profile in the community being known for our welcome, care, and love of God. To be a Christian community that values and expresses a wide-ranging cultural diversity. To serve the community, through our people and organisations, which will include modelling, demonstrating and working for the reconciliation of all people. To be actively engaged with the structures and processes of our local community e.g. education, politics and support agencies. To actively campaign on behalf of those needing justice locally, nationally and internationally. DiscipleshipTo see each member's everyday life lived as an offering before God. To see those who are a part of Greenford Baptist Church being actively committed and involved with it. To see every member regularly meeting with one or two others for sharing and prayer
To see each member not just being a believer but being discipled and discipling others, we see discipleship as including the living of "clean lives" and the process of "the renewal of our minds". To see everyone who is a part of Greenford Baptist Church giving money to the church as directed by God. RolesThe aim of the Leadership is to serve Greenford Baptist Church by seeing her discipled for the work of Christian service, to be built up until we all come together to unity in our faith and in our knowledge of the Son of God, to become mature people reaching to the very height of Christ's full stature. (Ephesians 4: 12-13) The Leadership Team's responsibility is to oversee the life of Greenford Baptist Church especially for vision and strategy. The Broader Leadership Group has responsibility for owning and implementing the vision, developing the strategy agreed by the Leadership Team and seeing them woven into the life of the church. The Church Premises Management Team will oversee the maintenance and usage of the church building and grounds on behalf of the Leadership Team To see provided an additional source of pastoral care particularly to those who are in special need. We see the caring of members for each other as the primary source of pastoral care within Greenford Baptist Church. To identify, support and encourage specialised ministries that enhance and aid the delivery of our vision. CommunicationTo see effective communication both within our church family and from our church family to those in the surrounding community, utilising a range of different media. Inter-Church LinksTo continue working with local, national and international churches, groups and initiatives. To be a resource to other churches including mission, encouragement, teaching, worship and in modelling multi-ethnic community.
