Asians are currently underepresented in Greenford Baptist Church. On Saturday 25th March 2006, 10.30am-5.00pm at the Burnt Oak Christian Fellowship Oakleigh Avenue, Edgware HA8 5DT (just off the Edgware Road - near Iceland) there is a workshop on how to reach out to British Asians.

It is followed by a South Asian meal  (bring/buy your own lunch)

To book your place contact SAC by March 17, 2006.

In the morning  - we’ll explore the background of the Asian community in Britain, and how it is possible to build bridges and communicate across some of the barriers. Then we’ll look at disciplemaking and important things to consider when nurturing  Asian believers. After lunch - we will look at the Masala Group resources, which have been designed to help build bridges between communities and also share the Gospel in a way that is sensitive to British Asian culture. There will be an opportunity to test the materials.

Afternoon - time for church groups to discuss their own ideas and plans for their ministry to Asians. The workshop will close with a vegetarian Asian meal.
