General Overview of Meetings and Groups

Most of our regular meetings and groups are listed below in day-of-the-week order and are held in the church building, unless otherwise indicated. Please consider coming to any of these meetings or groups - if you would like to know more do speak with us. |
Morning Worship Meetings - Sunday
Everybody is welcome to our Sunday morning worship meetings.- 10.00am Worship, testimonies, prayer, prayer ministry, communion (some weeks), celebration of birthdays and anniversaries and when requested - baptisms and dedications.
- 11.10am Connections - a social time with tea and coffee.
- 11.35am Adult teaching with brief time at the end for response - ministry and prayers for healing.
- Our young people have a youth culture church meeting elsewhere in the building, called Ballistic and our primary school children have Sunday Club. There is a staffed crèche.
- 12.30pm Finish.
The morning is in three segments so you can come to one, two or all three parts, as your circumstances allow. Communion will always be celebrated on the third and fifth Sunday morning of each month. Every three weeks or so, we have a bring-and-share lunch together after the morning meeting.

Ballistic - Youth Church - Sunday
Our very popular Youth Church is called Ballistic - it's for young teens - school years seven and above.Ballistic has a custom designed meeting style which includes exploring life issues and questions around the Christian faith, relevant bible teaching to encourage and develop relationships with God, worship and multimedia (record decks and video projectors etc).
Around 25 to 30 persons attend the meetings, which are held upstairs during the main adult meeting on Sunday mornings.
There are occasional social activities including pizza, film events and fund raising activities.

Sunday Club - Children's Meeting - Sunday
Sunday Club welcomes all children and starts part-way through the main adult Sunday morning worship meeting. It is fully staffed by qualified Safe To Grow leaders and helpers.- Infants school years: reception to year three.

Crèche - Sunday

Evening Meetings - Sunday
There are either one or two Sunday evening meetings a month, usually at 6.30pm. Pastor and Senior Leader David Wise is usually responsible for the evening meetings, which are more intimate in size, compared to the morning meetings.There is a wide range of evening meeting styles ranging from tradition to more unusual. Communion is celebrated on the 1st and 5th Sunday evening of the month. Contact the church office for info or read our weekly news sheet GBC NEWS.

Breakout - Children's Club - Monday
Breakout is an afternoon Kids Club (school years 1–6) and is held during term time. There are games, craft activities and video with a meaning. It was launched Monday 24th April 2006 and on the first afternoon was attended by around 15 children.Advance registration is required so to register you child please contact Steve Williams in person, by email or phone.
Meeting times: 3.30pm to 5.00pm on Mondays at Greenford Baptist Church, Beechwood Avenue, Greenford, Middlesex UB6 9UA.
Breakout has clear Christian content and costs £1.00 per week per child, to cover costs of materials and equipment etc.

Morning Prayers - Tuesday
A twice-weekly morning prayer meeting in the home of Ralph and Dorothy Williams from 8.00am to 8.45am every Tuesday and Thursday. You can come late, leave early or stay the whole 45 minutes. Praying with other people, either silently or out loud, is an important part of Christian discipleship and a part of our response to the situations around us, especially those that need to change. Open to all.The main contact is Steve Williams.

Noah's Ark Parent and Toddler Group - Tuesday
A Parent and Toddler group–for toddlers (from birth until approximately three and a half) and their parents or carers. From 9.30am to 11.30am during term-time. £1.50 admission, which includes refreshments.The main contact is Elaine Sullivan.

Wednesday Fellowship - older people's meeting - Wednesday
Welcome to the Wednesday Fellowship. We meet every Wednesday, apart from when we go on holiday or outings, during August and two weeks at Christmas. People start arriving from 1.00pm onwards, usually those who are brought on Dial-a-Ride, and we serve tea and biscuits from around 1.30pm.The main contact is Lynda Wilson

Exodus - Discipleship Group - Wednesday
Exodus is a group that meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 8.00pm to 10.00pm in Avon Road, Greenford.We meet for fellowship, prayer and bible study. Anyone who is interested in coming along will be made more than welcome.

Women Alive in Ministry - Ladies Group
| Women Alive in Ministry is a ladies group which meets on an ad hoc basis, usually in the downstairs hall in the new building. The meetings are mainly social and relationship building but will also sometimes have the added benefit of having spiritual content. Women of any age welcome, from the young to the not so young. Envisioned - prophetic group
Liz Robertson, who is part of the Leadership Team, heads up a group called Envisioned. This is an open group of people from within the Church that God sometimes speaks through prophetically - read the Three Prophecies of GBC.There is no set programme or series of meeting dates but the group comes together every once in a while to learn how to hear God's voice or discern His will in situations.

Ministry Network
The Ministry Network provides mutual support, shares information and is a sounding board giving feedback to the Leadership and Staff Teams.The network meets around five time a year and consist of church members who lead our main ministries.

Portuguese Speaking House Group
The Portuguese Speaking House Group meets once a month on a Sunday from 1.00pm to 4.00pm to have fellowship, basic Bible study, prayer and to encourage one another.A dynamic and friendly group with a “bring and share” Sunday lunch. The group is run by Noemi and Tony Hudson.
